Photography Competition Winners Announced!
Our 2015 Photography Competition winners have now been decided! We're really happy to present the below entries as our winning images.
It was a very difficult decision due to the quality of images entered, and we would like to take this opportunity to thank every single volunteer who entered. Our winners will all receive a Trees for Life gift pack as well as a place on one of our Conservation Weeks.

"Watching a local pine marten over the live video feed in the lodge was a highlight, as was hearing Gaelic folk tales by the fire at Samhainn. But maybe the most enduring highlight will be the knowledge that the trees we planted will some day make up a beautiful native forest."

"It’s difficult to pick out the highlights because I loved every minute of the week! Things I particularly appreciated were meeting a wonderful group of like-minded people; and not only having the opportunity to spend time in nature, but really interacting with it, and learning so much about how the different parts of the ecosystem work together. My favourite activity was ring-barking. Removing the bark from a living tree is a multi-sensory experience: it smells delicious, and you get to really appreciate the textures and structure of the tree. Understanding why it’s important to remove non-native trees, and knowing that around 30 per cent of healthy forests are made up of dead wood, made the experience even more satisfying."

"This was the second week I had spent working for Trees For Life in and around Glen Affric and Glen Moriston. A truly inspirational week with a great bunch of like-minded folk. Helped re-charge the batteries that had become somewhat depleted from our usual busy lives. The photo was taken in Glen Affric on my day off on a wild, wet day, with An Sgurr na Lapaich exhibiting a first dusting of snow on her summit from the previous night."
